How can I communicate during an emergency when phones, cell phones and the internet are down?  Use a ham radio!

Amateur radio operators are much more than hobbyists; they provide extremely important communications, especially during and after emergencies. As a licensed operator you can be in touch with others who will be able to pass on important messages - not just during emergencies. Ask Claire and Matt Hess how ham radio is an important part of their lives after they got certified last year. Or talk to some of the other newly certified hams (Mary Forbes, Veronica Shelford, Petra Accipiter, Gerhard Wanney, Tegan Luckham) and find out why you might want to take this FREE course. The course is presented in such a format you are able to pass the test on day 2 with flying colours.  Several people have already registered, so if you want to car pool, call Simone Luckham 250-246-4802 or email her simone@stonesculptor.ca
