Several years ago, Barbara Williamson instigated an award to recognize women in our community that go above and beyond with volunteering. These women don't need to be at the forefront, in fact most work quietly behind the scenes.
We are happy to announce that this year's recipient is Gloria Taylor, for always stepping in when an extra set of hands is needed, or when an event needs to be pulled off. Thanks, Gloria, for all you do for our community.
Past recipients surprised Gloria with a lovely bouquet of roses, a lemon-coconut chiffon cake and a couple of bottles of bubbly, accompanying the pair of crystal candlesticks, which will be gracing Gloria's table for the next year.
