Many thanks, and our deepest appreciation to all of you who contributed to the two Ragged Islet signs, your support and generosity is sincerely appreciated. It is a reminder of how truly wonderful our community is.

The contributions we received came from, not only full time or part time residents, but also from a few folks who do not have homes here, but are familiar with Ragged Islet.

There are other Islets as well in our surrounding waters that have little or no protection, such as “Goat Islet”, off the S.E. side of Reid Island. These small outcroppings have no real status, other than being “Crown Land”.  Having said that, they are all an integral part of our incredible marine environment.  Visiting these Islets is a marvelous experience for young and old.

The Ragged Islet Protection Association (or Committee) is an ad-hoc group.  We have no official capacity, other than caring greatly for the islands and islets around us, as well as our own community of Thetis Island. If you have any ideas or suggestions regarding these special islets, please feel free to phone or e-mail.

Again, many, many thanks for your support!
