Forbes Hall 11:00AM - 4:00PM

The BeeHive is an opportunity for upcycling clothes, learning new skills, shopping for free and being with others. There will be sewing machines, free clothes, fabric, and lots of creative energy and ideas.

Don’t like sewing? You can reinvent an old sweater, dress, jeans or skirt with just a pair of scissors.

Moth Holes in Wool Sweaters? Simone Luckham will provide new tips and old techniques for repairing these pesky holes.

Come for the day, come for lunch, or stop in for a visit. A delicious lunch prepared by Don & Nettie will be available for purchase.

What to bring: a sewing machine (if you have one), scissors etc., clothes and fabric for donation, and money for lunch.

Here are two suggested BeeHive ‘Reference Books’, the first one is available in OUR LIBRARY!

1) Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion Book by Elizabeth L. Cline

2) ReFashioned: Cutting-Edge Clothing from Upcycled Materials Book by Sass Brown
