At Saturday's Remembrance Day ceremony a couple of folks asked me about a book I mentioned. It is an extraordinary work of (history) Non-Fiction, as well as winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for Literature.
Title: The Unwomanly Face of War Author: Svetlana Alexievich.
I am in the process of reading it, and am passing it over to the next person. It will find it's way back to our Library here in due time. It is a book that should be, needs to be read.
Note: There were over a million fighting female soldiers in the Russian Army who fought alongside men, against the Nazis.
