Native eelgrass (Zostera marina) is a critical component of nearshore ecology for salmon, birds, and hundreds of invertebrates in B.C. and globally.

SeaChange Marine Conservation Society is offering a free eelgrass ecology and restoration training workshop to community volunteers in preparation for near future eelgrass restoration in the Gulf Islands, including Thetis Island.
