Rehydration

A good friend and neighbour was in a bit of medical distress on Sunday, which reminded me to remind you that even though it is still only May, you must remember to drink fluids  throughout the day, more so in this weather.

Seniors are especially vulnerable to dehydration without even knowing it, and dehydration can cause dizziness (among other problems) which can lead to a fall.  Experts generally recommend that older adults consume at least 1.7 liters of fluid per 24 hours. This corresponds to 57.5 fluid ounces, or 7.1 cups.

It doesn't have to be water.  Tea, juices, sports drinks etc. (Alcohol doesn't count!).
