To Whom It May Concern

We have not met yet. But, I understand that you drive a small

compact silver car. You have been seen arriving at the end of

Cufra Road around 10pm. If you are new to Thetis, please let

me tell you about our wonderful recycle yard. The bottle bins

are open 24/7. Please pick up the numerous Red Bull cans

and equal number of Pepsi cans thrown into the bush when you

leave. The local school will appreciate the return money. The Pall Mall

cigarette butts are unsightly, strewn on the gravel and into the dry

grass. Thetis Island residents take fire prevention very  seriously,

especially in the dry summer months. Ask our Fire Chief Jeannine

Caldbeck. Please pick up the butts ensuring that they are extinguished

and dispose of them in your own garbage can.You may also want to

pack an empty garbage bag to pack the remaining refuse you leave behind.

In case you missed the sign upon disembarking the ferry, it is a $2000 fine

for littering.I can only imagine that  the fine for causing a forest fire from a

cigarette will be much greater.

I will try my best not to be late tonight. We must meet.
