Own a part of Thetis Island history:
The Thetis Island Fire Dept. in 2018 was gifted the lovely set of solid oak entry doors and frame from the original Forbes Hall. These historic doors were going to be used as the double-door entrance to our hose tower. Unfortunately, through a miscommunication about the opening size, the oak doors and the opening would have had to have been trimmed and filled considerably to fit.
The oak doors and oak frame have been stored inside. The dimensions are:
Doors are 30” wide each, by 79 3/4 “ tall
Door Frame outer dimensions are
64” wide by 84” tall
Hardware is attached. The relief carving has HMS Thetis on the bottom banner.
These are very heavy doors (approx 2” thick)
For a donation of $2000 to the TICA building fund, this double door set can be yours.
We have priced out similar oak doors (without the Thetis history, carving, hardware or frame) at well over $3,ooo US.
Available to pick up at the fire hall, with proof of your donation to TICA. (TICA has charitable status)
