We have dropped to HIGH Hazard as of Sunday, which means “High Risk” activities such as chainsawing, milling, grinding, chipping, splitting, gravel road grading etc. can take place from early morning to 11:00 am and a two hour fire watch posted after that.  When the island starts to dry up again, and it can do so quickly, we will move up again to EXTREME.  After three days of posted EXTREME HAZARD all high risk activities must again cease.

NO solid fuel fires.  No yard waste, burn barrels, fireworks, tiki torches, wood-fueled campfires or Chinese lanterns.   Propane campfire appliances are allowed and don’t require a permit.  Please report all smoke columns to 911.  Our Area G neighbours in Saltair are watching out for us too.
