Oil Spill response exercise Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Western Canadian Marine Response Corporation and Canadian Coast Guard
are running a full oil spill response exercise.

The purpose of the exercise is to provide an opportunity for response
personnel to demonstrate and practice working together
to respond to a pollution response incident within the Georgia Strait
Regional Response Planning Area
and WCMRC to demonstrate their ability to manage and respond to a spill
of up to 2,500 Tonnes.

There will be a number of vessels from Coast Guard and WCMRC working in
Trincomali Channel, Porlier Pass and around Canoe Islet both days.
