Stop and smell the (native) flowers! Join us at the People's Apothecary Garden this week to learn about some useful plants found in your own backyard. The garden is in full bloom after all the hard work of ThINC students from last Summer. We will be examining some local and exotic species of medicinal plants found in the garden and catching up on the "buzz" of the neighbourhood honeybee hive. If this sounds like something for you, please register here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1l01psKv9g86TdiGAJzxeHgTlp1Xel8J-5wTWqCutLrU/edit#gid=818719830

Housekeeping

Hi Folks! We’re excited to have you join us for the summer season but there are a few housekeeping items to address first.

COVID-19 Protocols: Our first priority is COVID safety.

Please stay home if you or someone in your bubble is feeling sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms.

Masks must be worn when indoors.

Sanitizing stations will be provided when entering the Nature House

Masks are not required when outdoors but please be mindful of personal space and keeping a safe distance between participants who are not in your bubble.

Registration:

Registration is mandatory to attend our events, at this time we will NOT be accepting drop-ins. A maximum of 10 participants will be allowed per session on a first come first serve basis. Only one bubble is allowed per session including the accompanying parents/guardians. Once a session has been filled by a bubble, there will be no more room for attendees outside of that bubble.

Attendance:

All age groups are welcome, however children age 12 and under will require a parent or guardian to accompany them during the session.

Parking/Meeting Locations:

We will be meeting at the People's Apothecary Garden (62 North Cove Rd.) at the allotted registration time at 9 am or 12:30 pm. Parking is available either on Mission Rd. or at the Community Centre

What to Bring:

Please wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, i.e. hat, sunglasses, water, etc.

Questions and Concerns:

Questions and concerns regarding Nature House events, schedules and registration can be directed to breanna@thetisislandnatureconservancy.org.
