As part of the visit, there was a visit to Thetis Island Elementary School (TIES). Sarah Lucchetti (TIES K to 7 Teacher) provides the following recap:
Sergeant Olsen paid a visit to our students at Thetis Island Elementary as well. Students were happy to engage in conversation and asked all sorts of questions about what it's like to be a police officer, the kind of tools he carries, interesting cases he's worked on, police dogs, and more. The kids very much enjoyed their visit and were left with some ideas to ponder, as well as some police stickers and tattoos!
