Everyone should by now know how the BC TAP form (the Provincial Travel Assistance Program for medical reasons) allows a patient free travel on the ferry to get to a specialist medical appointment on Vancouver Island.
But did you know that BC Ferries has a MAL (Medical Assured Loading) program to allow some of those travelling with BC TAP forms to go to the head of the ferry lineup instead of having to wait on an overload? This might be handy during the coming summer months when overloads happen.
Here is the link with the criteria on how to obtain a MAL and that page also has a link on how to obtain a TAP, which you must also have at the same time: https://www.bcferries.com/book-sailings/medical-assured-loading
