I have been wondering if water storage tanks (of which I am a big fan) might provide excellent breeding grounds for an abundance of mosquitoes. My tank has a tight-fitting strainer under the lid where the down spout goes in, but I am sure that many do not. Fitting the tops of the tanks with tight fitting mosquito netting around the inlets and outlets would likely be possible in most cases.
