If you are unable to get to the food bank donation drop-off van next Saturday the 29th at the Christmas Craft Fair, the TIVFD will be collecting daily from now to December 17th at the Firehall Food Bank drop off box in front of the Firehall.

Wondering what is needed?

Here is the priority list, which is not exhaustive but covers what they regularly need.
Peanut butter
Canned soup
Canned fruit
Canned vegetables
Canned stew
Canned fish
Canned beans
Pasta (most prefer whole grain)
Rice (most prefer brown rice)

Also for this season: warm socks, unwrapped children’s gifts, hygiene products (soaps, shampoo, baby and adult diapers, etc.), Christmas wrapping paper rolls and ribbons and sticky tape.

The Harvest House Food Bank Society serves needy individuals and families in Chemainus, Crofton, Westholme and on Penelakut and Thetis Islands. These are our neighbours.

Money donations are gladly accepted as this allows the Food Bank to buy in bulk at a discount. You can receive a tax receipt for your monetary donation.

Donations dropped off at the Firehall on Mission Road will be collected daily up until December 17th.
