Back up to HIGH Danger Class

Sadly, none of us, including the TIVFD, has much influence on the weather and environmental conditions for the Fire Danger Class rating. All the reporting fire weather stations around us have moved back up to HIGH HAZARD and as of Wednesday morning we are back up to HIGH.

This means that until further notice (and some more rain!) we are going back to Early Shift for High Hazard Activities. Please shut down by 1 pm and post a 2-hour fire watch. Have water and tools at your job site.

We may get some rain by Sunday or Monday to drop us down to MODERATE again, but dry conditions continue until then. Thanks for being fire safe this summer (and Fall).
The solid fuel Campfire Ban is still in effect until the end of October. Propane campfire appliances are allowed and great for those cool evening marshmallow cook-outs as you watch the sun set.
