Hello, Fellow Islanders,
Athenia and I are making a commitment this year to dress more intentionally in natural fibers, honoring both our bodies and the Earth. In that spirit, we’re reaching out to our community with a small request. We are looking for natural fiber clothing that you may no longer wear, have grown out of, or simply don’t know what to do with.
We welcome pieces in:
Plant fibers: linen, hemp, cotton, ramie, or jute
Animal fibers: wool (including merino), alpaca, cashmere, mohair
Natural fiber blends: wool/cotton, hemp/cotton, or other combinations.
We’re especially drawn to clothing in earth-based, muted, or natural colors, and we’d love small or large sizes, even slightly shrunk wool sweaters can be perfect for Athenia! Or men's wool sweaters for me.
Our hope is to give these items a new home, keeping them in use rather than letting them sit in a closet. If you have any natural fiber clothing you’d like to pass along, we would be so grateful to take it off your hands.
