Update received January 30th:

Current update on the Howling Wolf Market: In order for a home occupation or business to operate on a residential lot on Thetis, it must be operated by a resident of the dwelling unit. The owner of the Howling Wolf Market is working on establishing a lawful dwelling on the lot and a resident operator.

Warren Dingman, Manager of Bylaw Compliance & Enforcement , will be at the meeting to answer questions, and provide whatever update that can be provided in an open meeting. His comments will be about the bylaw compliance and enforcement process, and that fact that the property owner is being given time to work on solutions for compliance.

Please note, the bylaw enforcement issue is not on the agenda for Tuesday February 3rd no decisions are about to be made. We have asked the Manager of Bylaw Compliance & Enforcement to attend the meeting because of the significant interest in this file. He is prepared to answer questions.

We are all hoping to resolve this in an amicable way so that the Market can continue. I know this is difficult for the Peggs, Market goers and the community at large.
