We are (unusually) still in MODERATE fire hazard, according to BCWS data and weather stations. Cedar and parts of Saltspring Island continue to be in HIGH. We mention this because there is still a danger from your yard waste fires “getting away” if not constantly supervised and you haven’t got quick access to your required tools and water.
Yard waste fires must be extinguished thoroughly by 4 pm or 2hours before sunset. Thanks for continuing to be fire safe.
