The TIVFD will be facilitating the Remembrance Day service at the flagpole at Forbes Hall on November 11th, at 10:55 hours. We will be lowering the flag to half-staff and observing a minute of silence.
The Duncan Flying Club will be doing a fly-past at 10:55 if the weather is good and they have enough experienced pilots for the old aircraft.
Following the flagpole ceremony and laying of flowers, we will go inside the hall and there will be a shortened event because Soups On starts at 11:30.
For those wondering where the flowers go at the end of the day that were laid at the flagpole: they are taken to St. Margaret’s Cemetery and laid on the grave markers of those who served in the wars.
