In response to our 911 call, Chief Caldbeck, her deputy Chad Kerr and a number of volunteers provided paramedic assessment/care to my wife Janet who had injured her foot, was in severe pain and showed other worrying symptoms. Chief Caldbeck and her team concluded Janet was to be taken by water taxi to Chemainus and then to hospital where tests confirmed a broken bone.
