Request for Ride & Haul Help This Weekend

Hi folks!

Sabina Bromley here, daughter of Malcolm Bromley,

First of all, I’d like to give a big thanks for the warmth and support extended to myself and my family at this time. It’s meant so much!

Second, I’m getting my dad’s place in ship-shape this weekend . To do that, I wondered if I might ask the following favours:

1.   May I hitch a ride? (a) Monday, August 3, from Thetis to Victoria anytime, or (b) Tuesday, August 4, from Thetis to Victoria or Duncan before 4pm? I can help with gas.

2.   Recyling/refuse/good-will hauling? Would someone with a truck be able to help me cart away a load or two of stuff ? Though buff enough to load a truck, I will be, albeit, truck-less :)

I can even leave it outside for a reliable individual to cart away, and I’m more than happy to help with $$$ to make this happen.

Thetis Island continues with the Campfire Ban locally.  As well, all areas south of Robson Bight continue with the Provincial Campfire ban.  

We are not out of the woods yet! Report smoke sightings to *5555 or 911.

Forbes Hall Fridge Clean Out

In preparation for August 8th’s Summer Soiree event, we will need the fridges cleared out of all foods.  Please remove anything that belongs to your group, prior to 4PM on Wednesday, August 5th.  

Anything found after that time will be discarded.  No reminders will be sent after this.

Thetis Island Community Church

Thetis Island Community Church welcomes Francois Blouin as our guest speaker this week.  Church will begin at 10 at Forbes Hall. Everyone is most welcome to attend.  Our next formal service. Aug. 9,  will be held at Pioneer Pacific in the Leaders Meeting Room because  the hall  is reserved for the Soiree that entire weekend.   While there is no formal service on Aug. 16th and 30th Dan Rutherford will  be leading what is called “Couch Church” in the library.
