Drown Caterpillars ~ don't burn
Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 10:28AM For those of you battling the tent caterpillar problem by cutting and then burning the branch ends with the tents, please be assured that by plunging the branch into a bucket of water you will still attain the desired effect. Let them soak in the bucket...they will drown. Don't let the branch touch the sides of the bucket unless submersed, or a few survivalists will crawl out. This method is effective and doesn't contravene the burn-ban. After a few days, empty the bucket in the bush.
