Thank You

A BIG THANK YOU to Everyone who came to our medical rescue last week. Capernwray came instantly to my call for assistance as did the Thetis Island Paramedics and Fire Department.

Chief Caldbeck leads an incredible team and Chris Fordham is to be commended for his special group of staff and volunteers.

Thetis Island is a remarkable community where neighbors care about each other. We feel very blessed to live here. Dave is resting comfortably at home now.

Found: Dog Leash

A dog leash was accidentally placed in my car at the community center and I am looking to return it to its owner.

It is harness that is green with a plant design on it and has a black leash attached to it.

If this is yours, please reach out to me by phone to have it returned. My number is (604) 725-9345.

Thank You

We would like to send along a huge thank you to Thetis Island Volunteer Fire Department for being there for us on Saturday night. These volunteers take time from their day to day lives to attend emergencies no matter the time of day or night. They get out of warm beds, leave their dinner on the table or their workplace. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing team.

Also thank you to Dr. Sutter and Bill Golley for being there when we needed them. Both are treasures to this island. And to Helen and Steve Bird who took our dogs and cared for them while mommy and daddy were away. Thank you.

ThINC about Becoming a Member this Year!

Hello Thetis Islanders,

We wanted to give you a gentle nudge to renew your ThINC membership (or become a new member!) for 2024.

Becoming a member of ThINC helps you connect with like-minded community members and is critical in supporting the range of stewardship and nature education activities that we offer.

At this time we are only offering ThINC Memberships for 2024 (not ‘Friend of the Nature House’). We will provide news and updates on the Nature House program as the summer approaches.

To renew your membership or become a new member for 2024, valid January - December, download and complete the following PDF form and mail it to:

PO Box 13-3, Thetis Island, V0R 2Y0 or email it to: info@thetisislandnatureconservancy.org

Membership form: www.thetisislandnatureconservancy.org/_files/ugd/a5ed41_c909236efc7c407799ab1dcd90102420.pdf

If you are interested in other ways to be involved with ThINC and nature stewardship on Thetis, consider volunteering for one (or more) of our programs: Nature House, People's Apothecary Garden, Community Bat program, Owl Box program, Purple Martin program, Shoreline monitoring/marine program, Nature Reserve maintenance, Nature Reserve warden, Restoration (invasive plant removal, etc), and Fundraising.

Thank you for being an integral part of our community. We look forward to serving you for another wonderful year!
