the final departure from Thetis to Chemainus, on Thursday night, will be 7:25 PM

Stopping in the Roadway

To the drivers that think it is safe or legal to stop in the middle of the road to chat with passers-by on foot:

You need to pull over to the side of the road. I nearly rear ended an orange Pontiac Vibe today near Capernwray because they decided to park on a blind corner, then proceeded to try and wave me around them on the blind corner over a solid yellow.

Pull to the side of the road if you need to stop, for your own safety and for the safety of others, regardless of how long you're stopped for.

Round Trip Sailing Cancellation April 15, 2020

There will be a round trip cancellation for the MV Kuper on Wednesday, April 15, in order to conduct an urgent gear box inspection.

The affected sailings are the 10:10 am departure from Chemainus, 10:55 am departure from Penelakut and 11:10 am departure from Thetis Island. 

MV Kuper will resume the regular schedule with the 12:15 pm departure from Chemainus.
BC Ferries apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and we thank you for your understanding as we complete these required inspections to ensure your safety.

Glasses Found on Porlier Road

A pair of glasses (white plastic frames) were found on Porlier Road on Sunday April 12, near the driveway to lot 186.  

The glasses are in a plastic bag in the drop-box at the mailboxes.
