People's Apothecary Garden Walkthrough Today (Thursday)

Good day Thetis Islanders,

Join the ThINCpod today at the People's Apothecary Garden on lot 62 (Carolyn Askew's) between 1-3pm, to learn more about this community space!

The People's Apothecary is a medicinal plant garden and is a part of the Thetis Island Food Cooperative.  It was pitched to the ThINCpod in June as a 'side' project, but grew into something much more. Thetis Island community members played an integral part in the garden by supporting us with many resources (i.e. plants, seeds, rocks, compost, newspaper/cardboard, ash, cement, wood, a gate, machinery, tools, and expertise).  A big thank you to all who contributed! This is just the start, and we look forward to sharing our vision of future possibilities with you!

Please bring a mask (just in case), and don't forget your mug as we will be serving hot apple cider!

Hope to see you there,

The ThINCpod

Jollity Home Grocery Delivery - New Additions & Changes

Starting this Friday, we will include Superstore, along with the 49th, in our weekly grocery pick up & home delivery service.

For Superstore orders:

It's easy to order online, and starting here: https://www.pcexpress.ca/ will tell you exactly how it works.

Once you have navigated to the Duncan location, you can select the date & time for pick up.

Please choose Friday and the 11-12 or 12-1pm time slot.

When you have completed your order and received a confirmation email & order number, please forward to:

info@jollityfarm.ca or text 250.415.0101.

If you are going to place an order, please confirm with us by Wednesday evening, at latest.

The Milk Run with Farm Fresh Veggies

With colder, wetter and darker evenings, home delivery of fresh farm items is a little more challenging.

Starting this week, we'd like to test a new system:

Friday evening - Jollity will deliver grocery store orders to your door (driveway length etc. dependent)

Saturday - You can pick up your orders of local milk, yogurt, bread and fresh veggies at the farm. Your orders will be bagged / boxed and labelled on the farm shop shelves, and milk, eggs etc. will be in the fridge. Drop off empty glass milk bottles in the blue crates provided, and check off the box next to your name in the book.

Please practice physical distancing when visiting the farm. If two people are already in the shop picking up their orders, please wait until they've exited. Door handles are cleaned often and hand sanitizer will be provided.

*If weekend farm pick up doesn't work for you and you'd prefer to keep getting milk delivered, we will be able to accommodate some stops.

Weekly ordering deadlines:

Milk & Yogurt by Monday at 4pm

Produce, bread & bagels by Wednesday at 4pm

Grocery pick up confirmation by Wednesday at 4pm
