March 15th, 5pm to 8pm, Cowichan Estuary Nature Centre Beer and Burger and Silent Auction Fundraiser at the Cow Bay Pub featuring Celtic music by Jane’s Way. Tickets $25, includes choice of beef, chicken, or veggie burger with your choice of fries or salad, and either a beer, cider, or glass of wine. For ticket information visit www.cowichanestuary.ca
March 28th, 10am to 2pm, Scrap Metal Drive in honour of Cowichan Land Trust’s 20th Anniversary. Give the Land Trust a birthday gift of scrap metal. Drop metal off at VIU Cowichan Campus parking lot or arrange to have it picked up. You can also drop metal off at Schnitzer Steel on Boys road and ask that it be put onto the Cowichan Land Trust account.
