Burchell Hill Fundraising ~ one month to go!

One Month to Go! Lower Burchell Hill Nature Reserve Matching Pledge Campaign ~

ThINC has had a great response to the Matching Pledge campaign so far but we still have a way to go to meet our goal of raising $50,000 in new pledges by June 1. For every dollar pledged, an anonymous donor will match it dollar for dollar up to $50,000.   If you've been thinking of supporting this project with a pledge, we would love to hear from you before June 1 so we can fulfill this generous offer.  It will put us in an excellent position to apply to foundations and other funding agencies for land acquisition grants. If you need a pledge form or would like more information, email us at ThINC@thetisisland.net or download a pledge form from www.thetisislandnatureconservancy.org and mail it to the address on the form. You can also phone Ann Eriksson at 250-246-8176.  Thank you Thetis Islanders for your generosity! With gratitude from the Thetis Island Nature Conservancy.

Drone over Thetis Island ~

On Monday, May 4, watch for a small UFO flying over the Burchell Hill area. A drone videographer will be on Thetis to produce aerial film footage for a short video in support of the Lower Burchell Hill Nature Reserve project. The video, which is being produced with 100% volunteer time, labour and expertise, will be used for a social media campaign to help raise funds for the project.
