Thetis Island Open Golf Tournament

Thirty five years ago this year (1980) Brian Hughes (lot 2) organized the first of what eventually became known as the Thetis island Open Golf Tournament. He brought a few work mates and friends together for a weekend on Thetis. Saturday was set aside for a golf game at Mt. Brenton, and on Sunday they all went fishing. Some of the local islanders, including Gene Beals, John Frost, Den Kelsey, Gary Urton and others soon joined the yearly tradition.

Over the years the format has changed a little, but the fun filled day of golf and gathering for a delicious meal has continued through the years. We would love to have you join us for golf and dinner, or if you prefer, just dinner on Saturday July 4th at Mt. Brenton Golf Course in Chemainus.

Best Regards,

TIO Organizers, Doug Darling and Keith Rush
