TI Improvement District AGM ~ Saturday April 23rd
Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 8:50PM The excitement of recycling day is top of mind for many of us on a Saturday morning. However, the Thetis Island Improvement District Annual General Meeting will be held at Forbes Hall on Saturday April 23rd @ 10 AM and I think it is possible for you to do both!
Following the AGM portion of the meeting we will continue the discussion on what level of service we want to see delivered by our volunteer fire department. I will review:
The new Fire Safety Act and it's impact on the fire department.
What services are currently delivered by the TIVFD.
Future capital requirements.
Funding considerations to ensure we maintain our volunteer fire department...
If I receive any new information from the CVRD on what it might look like to have the TIVFD become a CVRD department, I will share that also.
