Outdoor Wood-Fired Appliances Not Permitted

The TIVFD has had an enquiry concerning outdoor wood fired appliances during a fire ban, a snorkel hot tub to be specific.  An outdoor wood fired hot tub is the same as an outdoor wood fuelled fireplace, and is not permitted during a complete fire ban.  A propane or electric fired hot tub is permitted.  It is all about sparks, embers and smoke.  You can immediately turn off a propane appliance. Please continue to follow the Fire Ban rules.  They are in place for the safety of the community during the very dry summer months.

Thank you for your understanding and compliance.
