THETIS ISLAND LIVESTOCK COOPERATIVE

In partnership with the Portal, Jollity Farm is introducing a new initiative to create a livestock co-op; where members can partake in the experience of raising livestock, while enjoying shares in the end product. All animals will be raised ethically, on-pasture and in harmony with organic farming principles, in a closed-loop system aimed at encouraging healthy soil regeneration. The livestock co-op will expand from pigs, to milking goats, to chickens and more.... If you'd like to learn more or express interest in attending a meeting to discuss, please let us know. Introducing Wonder and Wilma, the mulefoot hogs.
This breed is 1 of 3, critically rare breeds listed with the Livestock Conservancy. https://livestockconservancy.org/index.php/heritage/internal/mulefoot Wonder & Wilma will be enjoying life at the Portal, rotovating a large pasture as a future site for permaculture gardens & orchards.
If you are visiting the Nature House, we do encourage you to say 'hello' to the pigs. They are social and love to hear a friendly voice.
