Lawrence Valley Trail Opening Day Tour ~ May 20th

May Long Weekend - with Ann & Bill Dickie and James Clowater, ornithologist.  Explore this unique Thetis Island wetland/woodland trail.  Meeting at the trail head beside the TIVFD Station on Mission Road.

Option One: Community Launch, Saturday, May 20th at 2:00 p.m. - walk the trail, learn about the geological, ecological and historical aspects of this unique environment, learn about the marshland habitat and potential birding sightings.  Free to all (children accompanied by an adult, please).  Sturdy shoes required - maybe boots?

Option Two: Organized by ThINC and sponsored by Jean Challenger and family.  Birding Tour with James Clowater, ornithologist.  Small groups - 6 maximum.  Detailed birding study of the area.  Cost - $35/person.  Saturday May 20th and Sunday May 21st from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.  To register, email Pat English at puzzlnut@telus.net .
