Motorized Wheelchairs on Public Roads

The question was raised as to what side of the road motorized wheelchairs, or other medical motorized vehicles should drive on, and whether the drivers are required to wear helmets.  The answer is that they should follow the same rules as pedestrians, driving close to the curb on the left, facing the traffic.
