Ride to Conquer Cancer ~ Seeking Donations

This is my first year participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, a 260 km, 2 day ride that spans from Vancouver to Seattle, that raises money for the BC Cancer foundation. I was motivated to join my team, To The Max Cycling Club, after 2 of my close cycling friends told me about the experiences with the Ride since 2009. To The Max is a team based out of Vancouver with over 50 participants, who have combined raised almost $80,000 this year with an end goal of $100,000.

Cancer will affect every one of us in our lifetime, whether directly or indirectly with a close friend or loved one. In order to participate, I must raise $2500, with an overall goal of $3200, with every penny of these fundraising efforts donated to the BC Cancer foundation. My chosen field is skin cancer and dermatology as I am considered a high risk for melanoma in my lifetime. As the effects of the sun have taken their toll on my skin over the years I now understand the importance of education, early warning signs, and prevention of skin cancer.

Thank you so much for your support,
