Fairslipper Forest ~ Purchase Completed

ThINC is thrilled to let you know that the purchase of Lot 1, Burchell Hill (aka Fairyslipper Forest) has completed. Thanks to over 140 Thetis Islanders,along with our conservation and funding partners the Cowichan Community Land Trust, the Islands Trust Fund, the Sitka Foundation, the Gosling Foundation and the BC Ministry of Transport, the Fairyslipper Forest Nature Reserve will be a reality.  A press release will be issued by the Islands Trust Fund later in January.  We are planning a celebration for all supporters in the spring, but in the meantime, please celebrate the creation of Thetis Island's first publicly accessible nature reserve with your family and friends.
