Closure of Thetis Island Wharf to Vehicle Traffic effective. Thursday Oct. 29, 2020
Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 9:08AM CVRD, Parks and Recreation has informed the Thetis Island Port Comission, that they will be installing "temporary '' bollards to close the dock to vehicle traffic.
This action was taken as a result of an engineering report, paid for by Thetis taxpayers, that the CVRD, is unwilling to share in its entirety with us.
our CVRD area G rep, Lynne Smith, is aware of this action, and is working diligently , to resolve this issue.Our Fire Department and First Responders are aware of this action, and have the appropriate plans in place.
As soon as we receive more information, and the CVRD grants us permission, under their COVID protocols to hold a commission meeting, we will pass that on to you.
