Weekend Fire Weather Forecast

SYNOPSIS: (Wed-Thurs) The air mass grows quite unstable late this afternoon mostly along the mainland coast but also possibly over southern Vancouver Island and possibly later in the evening out along the Fraser Valley. There is a fair chance of a few thunderstorms but almost certainly coming with considerable shower activity. Further north, the next low-pressure centre is diving towards Haida Gwaii and will begin drifting down the coast Thursday. The wet pattern continues with a few more showers and little sign of warming. 

OUTLOOK: (Friday-Sunday) The upper low parks just off Vancouver Island by Friday afternoon and then continues moving southeast to lie over Vancouver Island for the weekend. Cloud and showers continue.
