Abandoned Campfire

Someone abandoned a non-extinguished campfire on vacant land off Sunrise Point Road. It was quite windy Sunday evening and if it weren’t for sharp-eyed (and sharp-nosed) walkers this stupidity could have started a bushfire.  The walkers immediately called the fire department and the forested area was made safe.

It might be a good idea to start carrying a gallon jug of water in your vehicle in case you come upon a smouldering fire or cigarette.
