Forbes Hall Expansion: Committees ~ August 5, 2020

In early April, it became apparent that the Forbes Hall Expansion Project required very specific committees to keep the Hall project moving along to a successful completion. To date, three committees have been formed.

PMT = Project Management Team

This team works directly with Michel Poirier of Poirier Custom Homes, and Peter de Hoog (Project Facilitator and our new RCP), dHK Architects (whom Peter is affiliated with) has taken over as Architect of Record for the project.  The team has weekly on-site meetings, and stays abreast of the project in real time, makes time sensitive decisions, and provides critical information to the TICA Board, and other Committees, necessary to the successful completion of the Forbes Hall Project.

CEC = Communication & Engagement Committee

This committee develops communications to inform the TICA membership and the general public about the project. Working in association with the TICA Board and other committees, its goal is to keep the public up to date with information, encourage participation in the project, and to seek individual donations necessary for the successful completion of Forbes Hall.

FDC = Fund Development Committee

This committee has recently been formed to pursue grants, investigate commercial non-profit borrowing, and re-initiate and further develop the local lenders program. As well, the Fund Development Committee will search for available funding from any other sources. The committee will develop a non-profit business plan, work jointly with the CEC, and assist the TICA Board in financial planning. Again, the goal is for a successful completion of Forbes Hall.
