Lawrence Valley Loop Boardwalk Repaired

Thursday, the boardwalk over the stream on the Lawrence Valley Loop was repaired and is once again open for walkers. 

Big thanks to Steve and Helen Bird for boardwalk decking, Joe Knowles for providing the cedar beams and bringing them to the trail start, Ron Bannister arranging for the beams, Norm Kasting for removing the post to allow access and Bill Dickie for moving supplies and tools down the Community Trail to the Loop join. 

Everything had to be transported to the site from there where the work was carried out by Vicki Walker, Rob Welsh, Ron, Eleanor and Vivian Vandergaag, Nateo Thompson and Frank English.  

It has truly been a team effort and just in time for the good weather.
