St. Margarets Cemetery Family Plot Clean Up
Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 9:30AM The board of St, Margaret’s Cemetery would like to invite all those who have family and /or friends buried in St. Margaret’s to participate in a Solstice Day clean up Saturday June 19th.
Every year it has been the practise for a small group of volunteers to clean up grave markers, carefully washing them, cleaning out around the stone and putting down an edging of gravel.
As the years have passed that solid group of volunteers has diminished so we are inviting family and friends to visit the cemetery and tend to their loved ones.
A representative of the cemetery will be there starting at 10 am until 3pm. You will need to bring some water and plain soap to wash the stone, a small trowel to dig out around it and a pail to bring the gravel. No harsh cleaners please.
Bring a picnic or a snack. Spend some time in this beautiful place.
We expect you to adhere to COVID distancing restrictions and should more robust restrictions be back in place we will reconsider the event. Stay tuned.
