Honouring Fire Chief Jeannine Caldbeck
Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 7:47AM The Thetis Island Improvement District and the Thetis Island Volunteer Fire Department are delighted to announce that Fire Chief Jeannine Caldbeck is the 2021 recipient of the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association (CVFSA) Lifetime Achievement Award.
This award honours an individual, chosen from all of Canada, whose remarkable achievements in the fire service and community exemplifies outstanding performance. To be considered for the award, nominees must have been a volunteer firefighter or volunteer-on-call firefighter for at least 20 years.
To commemorate the occasion Brian Starkell the President of the CVFSA will be coming to Thetis Island to present this very prestigious award. Jeannine is the first female recipient.
We will host a community gathering on October 2nd, 2021, to celebrate this achievement by our Fire Chief, Jeannine. The time is to be determined, likely an afternoon event. Please save the date and plan to come out and offer your congratulations.
