ThINC Photo contest reminder
Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 7:43AM Reminder: One month left to send in your submissions to the ThINC plant photo contest! All plants on the Foraging Guide (found on the ThINC website) are fair game. Some current in-season subjects include: common cattail, salal, trailing blackberry, and himalayan blackberry (yum). Keep your eye out for those soon-to-be-sprouting mushrooms too!
Contest Rules:
Contest is open until September 20, 2021.
Any part-time or full-time resident of Thetis Island may enter.
Entry method – email your photo(s), subject line “Wild Edible Plants and Mushrooms of Thetis Island” to aislinn@thetisislandnatureconservancy.org. Please include your full name and the plant/mushroom species depicted.
Image requirements: JPEG high resolution. Please include two photos per species: one that shows the entire plant, providing scale and overall shape, and one close-up of the leaves, flowers, fruits, gills, etc.
We've had some lovely submissions so far, and are looking forward to seeing more of your work!
