COVID-19 Protocol Update for Forbes Hall Community Centre Effective Wednesday, September 22, 2021

The Proof of Vaccination requirements for Forbes Hall have been updated as clarifications for multi-use spaces have become available.
Thank you for your patience over the past week. The following information will be posted at points of entry at Forbes Hall.

FORBES HALL COMMUNITY CENTRE
BC Provincial Health Officer (PHO) Proof of Vaccination Requirements
Any indoor activity of 50 or more participants, proof of vaccination is REQUIRED
For groups of less than 50 people:
- For fitness activities, proof of vaccination is REQUIRED. This includes yoga, dance, Tai Chi, dance, ping pong, and any other fitness classes.
- For all other activities, meetings, and gatherings, proof of vaccination is NOT REQUIRED. This includes Thetis Island Community Church gatherings
Use of common areas, proof of vaccination is NOT REQUIRED·
Use of library, proof of vaccination is NOT REQUIRED.
Children under the age of 12 are exempt.
No other exemptions as per PHO.

BC PHO Mask Requirements
MASKS MANDATORY AT FORBES HALL
Masks may be removed temporarily in indoor public places:
- To identify the individual wearing the mask.
- To consume food or beverage at a location designated for this purpose.
- While participating in an indoor sport or fitness activity.
- While receiving a personal or health service that requires the mask to be removed.
- For those doing the work of TICA when the hall is not open to the public.
Masks are required for all seated programs, meetings, and events.
Masks are not recommended for children under the age of 2 but are encouraged for children ages 2 - 11 in public settings.
Masks are required for those ages 12+ in a public indoor space unless they are exempt (refer to PHO exemptions).
