The Coming Summer EXTREME Fire Hazard
Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 6:54AM The meteorological forecasting for the Spring/Summer/Fall this year is alarming. It looks like we are heading into another extended hot, dry fire season. If you are planning activities such as tree falling, chain sawing, excavating, road building, saw milling, etc later this year, please consider getting it done soon (before you will be required to stop by the complete fire hazard shutdowns).
The trend to longer fire seasons does not work in our favour.
There are six weeks left for outdoor burning without a permit so keep checking the venting index daily to see if you can burn.
