Fairyslipper Orchid Count
Monday, April 22, 2024 at 7:44AM Thanks to all who came out to the Earth Week Fairyslipper Orchid (Calypso bulbosa) count along the trail at the nature reserve on Saturday. Eagle-eyed Nan Beals had the highest count at 97!
The orchids only flower for a short time each spring, dotting the forest with their beautiful pink blooms.
