Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 7:23AM Weather Pattern: The first province-wide heat will begin Friday over the coast and spread across the interior this weekend as a ridge of high pressure settles over the province. This multi-day event may continue into mid-late next week. However, the exact duration of this event remains uncertain and may lengthen/shorten. In the event that the warming extends past the forecast period, listed impacts may increase from a prolonged period of above-seasonal temperatures.
• Forecast Temperatures: Coast: 25-30⁰C (Coastal inland sections: Up to 32 ⁰C). Communities nearest the Strait of Georgia may see some reprieve from the heat due to the cooling effects of a sea breeze (local wind).
