The People’s Apothecary Garden - Plant of the Week #21 - Yarrow

A care-free, dependable, and common fellow, yarrow packs a punch when it comes to its medicinal value. It has been used for millennia for treating wounds, fighting illness, as a digestive aid and blood tonic, and for menstrual problems. It is identified by its feathery leaves and cluster of tiny flowers, which are often white, but come in bright colours, such as pink, purple, orange, and yellow.

Warning! Yarrow has many look-alikes, including Queen Ann’s lace and poison hemlock - which, as the name denotes, is highly toxic and can be fatal - so please be 100+++% sure when ID-ing this plant.
